He'll hold you

You may be so stunned by what has happened that you cannot even cry. Or your eye lids may be swollen shut from the tears and you are tired of crying but cannot seem to stop. May the words of the song, “He’ll hold you,” by Selah, included below, remind you of this truth, “God has not forgotten you, turned away, or dropped the ball.”

His eyes are on you and His ears are open to your cry for help (Psalm 34:15). Not only that, He keeps track of all your sorrows, keeps your tears in a bottle, and has recorded each one of them (Psalm 56:8). “Then, why does He not do something?” may be your heartbroken cry. I do not know the specifics of what He is doing but He is at work in your life and will finish what He has started (Philippians 2:13; 1:6).  Also, we have His promise to work all things together for our good (Romans 8:28).

Some questions we may never have the answer to on this side of eternity but we can be assured that the proof of His love for us is the His incomprehensible payment for our sin, not our circumstances. He will hold and sustain you through it all.
